Welcome to the My Heroes
December 9th, 2008
My life thus far has had its ups and downs. I grew up in poverty, stayed in trouble as a kid, left school at 16 and joined the military at 17.
I’ve been a drunk and a drug addict. I’ve driven taxi, dump truck and tractor trailer. I cleaned carpets, laid blacktop, and fixed vacuum cleaners. I’ve been a draftsman, a car mechanic, and a postage machine salesman. I’ve been a file clerk, a door to door salesman, and had a newspaper route that covered 77 miles. I’ve repaired computers, sold computers, and been a short order cook. I’ve been a bill collector, a furniture repossessor, and 7Up truck driver. I’ve been an executive, started a collection agency, and have bought hundreds of millions of dollars in bad debt. I’ve been a computer programmer, a drag racer, and opened a speed shop. I’ve been an investor, the owner of a software shop, and business consultant.
I’ve been to most every state (including Alaska and Hawaii), most every Caribbean Island, and owned over 200 cars and 30 motorcycles. I’ve made millions, lost millions, and made millions again. I’ve been in serious car accidents, serious motorcycle accidents, broken more bones than Evil Knievel, and had better than a dozen surgeries. One thing my life hasn’t been is boring.
That said, I am who I’ve been influenced by — and there have been many positive influences in my life. This site is dedicated to those people who I feel have influence me into being me. Please feel free to browse the site and learn about how these people were positive influences in my life.
